Lemon Tuna Pasta Salad with no mayo
Lemon Tuna Pasta Salad with no mayo
Summer and pasta salad go hand in hand in my book. They don’t heat up the kitchen, they are great to bring to cook outs and I love having them in the fridge for a quick bite to eat especially when I don’t want to cook.
Which brings me to my friend Charlie,
Do you know Charlie?
Well Charlie is 50,
Happy Birthday, Charlie!
WOW, how time flies 🙂 He looks great! If you’d like to wish Charlie a Happy Birthday stop by his facebook page and tell him!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about Charlie is the cartoon mascot for StarKist Tuna.
Charlie thought he was so hip with his hat and glasses, but StarKist was not looking for tuna with good taste but rather for tuna that tasted good.
Sorry, Charlie!
Why am I going on and on about charlie? Well… when I think of Charlie, I think of Tuna Pasta Salad!
I love pasta salads,
two of my other favorites are
Lemon Pasta Salad with Feta Cheese and Asparagus
one of my all time favorites is included this great color combo
For my favorite Tuna Pasta Salad is made with fresh lemon and no mayo like you typically see.
I make mine with fat-free plain yogurt. So it’s not only delicious but healthier.

looks great! i love this tiny pasta cut you used. so cute and perfect with tuna. 🙂
I certainly know who Charlie is, though I haven’t seen him for awhile:) All of these salads look SO good, Diane, that I don’t know which one to try first!
I use yogurt in my tuna and chicken salads, too! I have not tried these combinations, but I am excited to diversify for a change (kids get so tired of the same old tuna salad – spoiled brats:)
you had me at pasta!Thinking of you and leaving some ♥ on your wonderful blog. Have a happy weekend!
I’m really loving your non-mayo recipes. How fun that you got to meet Charlie….can’t believe he’s 50….now I feel older than all get out 🙂
I’m just loving those delicious recipes you came up with. I’m also a lover of all kinds of pasta salads, especially the pasta salad recipes that save us a ton of calories. When it gets really hot I like to the prepare food early in the day, chill it well, and get out of the kitchen. Their is nothing better than delicious food made at home.
You are the sweetest!
Every time I see a tuna post I get a little jealous. My husband won’t eat tuna “from a can.” — Pretty pic of you — You make Charlie look like the Big Ta-huna 🙂
You are so funny, my hubby very rarely eats it also. He did eat this, and even had it more than once 🙂
This is what I am making today! You and Charlie made me smile!
