Hot Fudge Sauce
Hot Fudge Sauce
Tell me you like HOT FUDGE SAUCE as much as I do.
Really no ice cream sundae would exist without it if I had anything to say.
I’m not sure the first time I ever had hot fudge sauce, but I certainly know my life is better for knowing it well.
I made my first batch of hot fudge sauce the other day and….the jar was empty before I knew it. I whipped up another batch to finish what I was working on, which I will tell you about soon.
I am now dreaming of other ways to enjoy hot fudge sauce. Do you have a favorite? Please share it with, I’m thinking three servings a day of this stuff will be a good balance.
Yep, it’s my opinion that everyone needs hot fudge sauce….and it’s super easy to make.
I’m thinking this on top of a tray of brownies next, are you with me?
I even think I see it smiling back at me!
This is a quick and easy recipe and I have made many batches of this Hot Fudge Sauce. I really like the flavor of the dutch process cocoa and the 60% cacao chocolate together.
Hot or cold, hot fudge is yummy! This recipe made 2 cups.
This hot fudge sauce is so rich and creamy!
Now, hot fudge isn’t just GREAT on a spoon, it’s perfect over ice cream, or drizzled over fruit, It tastes great over a cake like this Banana Split Cake!
When I got down to the end of the jar, of course, I had a spoonful or two, quality control….it’s tough, but I got it done.
I shared this photo on Instagram. Are you on Instagram? I’m HERE, leave me a link to yours so I can follow you too. Instagram is my favorite social networking site, what’s yours?
And don’t forget fudge like this is great layered in between cake, and well I could go on all day about how delicious it is.
Use good quality chocolate for the best results. In the recipe, I tell you exactly what chocolates I use and the flavor is fantastic!

Good Evening. I am a big chocolate fan. Thank you for the recipe. I pinned it for future use. Vicki
I follow you on instagram, and e mail. If you are so inclined my instagram is tori0611.
This looks absolutely evil. Seriously. And you had to go and put Ghiradelli chocolate in it. I like the way you think, ma’am.
Brownies sound pretty good with this or a big scoop of ice cream!
I’ve made chocolate syrup before, the kind you use for making chocolate milk, but never a nice thick hot fudge, this looks fabulous!
I could eat that entire jar!
We always by our hot fudge from a local ice cream shop… but, you know what, I’m totally making some next time!
this looks amazing! My kids would love this
Oh, Diane – this looks amazing!!
Diane my SIL makes chocolate sauce and also cans it! I can’t recall the instructions at the moment; but I’m sure if you check out either on line or your local Extension Service you could figure it out… this way making a larger batch to keep longer or use for gifts! Just a thought. Looks yummy…
I have a favorite hot fudge recipe from a friend that I’ve been making for years. But I do think I’ll step out of my routine and give this recipe a try, it looks awesome!
Just pass me a spoon!
I adore hot fudge sauce, it is my favorite ice cream topping 🙂 love this recipe
looks very good except for cornsyrup .there had is be one that dont have cornsyrup in it .
I’ve never seen brown sugar or corn syrup used for Hot Fudge before. The other ingredients I have. Is this the kind when u put on ice cream it gets Super thick?? Thanks Diane. If not does anyone have that one using heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, chocolate chips Ghirardelli of course, semi-sweet and milk chocolate?? I think that was it. I know corn syrup and brown sugar wasn’t on it.
This is nice and thick. The brown sugar gives it a great taste and I can’t rave enough about this recipe. It’s a favorite 🙂 Sorry I can’t help you with another recipe, I’ve been making this one for a while.
Best I have ever tasted, I freeze it so I will have plenty on hand.
I just finished making this to give as gifts for a couple of friends for Christmas. It filled two half pint jars nicely with a little left over (and I had all I could do to not sit down with a spoon and finish it off!) This stuff is awesome! I need to go to the store and buy some more chocolate so I can match a batch for home. It’s delicious. The only thing I did different (and it wasn’t on purpose) was my cocoa powder was Hershey’s Special Dark. No problem there I love dark chocolate.
I LOVE FUDGE! Can this be made with Hershey’s cocoa powder and milk chocolate chips?
yes you can use you chocolates of choice 🙂
How much sauce does a batch of this homemade sauce yield? I’ve looked over the recipe but I don’t see anything. I may have missed it but so far can’t find it. Thanks
I put it in a 16 oz glass jar, but it doesn’t quite fill it. So about 12 oz is my estimation.
