Baking Spray Substitute- Pan Release
baking pan release spray substitute, a mix of oil and flour to create a nonstick surface for cooking and baking.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup neutral oil Avocado or vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- In a medium bowl whisk the shortening, oil, and flour until smooth.
- Press it through a fine strainer to remove any lumps so it's extra smooth.
- Place it in a jar with a tight fitting lid.
- Store in the pantry for up to 6 months.
Notes
Use a silicone brush and spread the pan release onto baking pans, cooking sheet pans, skillets, bundt pans, and muffin pans. Can be used to create a nonstick surface for cooking and baking.
